Update 03.18.2017: I just received my printer which turns out to be a mk2s. I am on chapter 2, Y-Axis. I have used my print of the Y-Frame Assemby Helper. See photo. I think it was very handy. mdkendall's mod is a great mod. My problem with it though is metric screws are somewhat expensive and hard to come by where I live. Since this thing is likely one use, I hate to lose inserts, assuming I even have the correctly sized ones. So I altered mdkendall's remix to add a 3D printed fastener. The idea is to have a nice tight fit and then glue this thing in place using super glue. Depending on the nozzle size on your printer and how well it is tuned, the gap required could vary. I included 0.15 mm to -0.05mm sized fasteners. So if it is a little too tight or loose, just pick the next appropriately sized fastener and print it again. In my case, 0.00mm was perfect. It fits together and holds together all by itself. I will glue it though. I haven't taken a picture of it yet but it printed perfectly. I included a step file with the 0.00mm gap. If you don't want to do that, you can scale the fastener stl in x and y only to the appropriate size. The A and B parts should remain the same size always. As mdkendall says, print two A and two B parts. My mk2 won't be here for quite a while yet but I want to be ready with helpers and upgrades for when it does. I am printed mine in PLA on a Lulzbot mini with 0.5 mm nozzle.
