**Update:** Unfortunately after about five weeks of delays from Flex3Drive, I have opted to cancel my order. I think this will work based on my fitting of a spare NEMA 17, if anyone finds it useful. **Details:** I have a Flex3Drive Direct Drive Adapter ( https://flex3drive.com/flex3drive/f3d-dda/ ) on the way for my Prusa i3 MK3. The idea is you mount your heavy extruder stepper elsewhere and run a flex drive shaft that is very light and geared at 40:1 to your existing extruder setup. The Prusa i3 MK3 has mounting holes pre drilled on the left side for a Raspberry Pi. They look to be close enough to provide suitable mounting for the stepper in this application as well. Work in process, will post an updated STL when I get mine in from overseas and hooked up. Just wanted to post this in advance in case anyone has one on hand they'd like to try.
