Prusa i3 MK3 MK3S 1.75mm Filament Feed Guide for 3D Printer Enclosure

I designed this 3D Printer 1.75mm Filament Feed Guide for my Prusa i3 MK3 after building a two tier IKEA Lack Table based enclosure designed to store a pair of printers. Due to the twin storey configuration it wasn't possible to feed the filament from above the bottom printer, so I decided to design a filament feed guide that would allow the filament spool to sit alongside the printer. As part of the design it was important to ensure the filament could be fed and changed easily, without getting snagged or suffering from excessive friction during prints that could lead to the extruder gears slipping or being placed under unwanted stress. I also wanted a feeder to be attached easily with no tools or modifications needed, and that would stay firmly in place throughout use. After a number of variations on my original design this filament feeder is the result, and I'm happy that after more than a year of testing with various spools of PLA, ABS, PETG and Flexible filament the filament feeder has met and exceeded my expectations. The kit comprises of 3 printed parts and a 15cm length of 4mm O.D. (outer diameter) teflon tube that must be purchased separately and probably cut to size. Simply push one end of the teflon tube all the way into the head of the upper feed arm and the other end into the circular well of the flay mounting bracket. Clip the filament feed arm onto the right side of the top of the printer's metal frame and, being careful of the clips, mount the flat base onto the top of the right hand Z axis into the hexagonal hole, rotating the teflon tube as necessary. Finally slip the hexagonal locking key into the base which keeps it mounted in position. Designed for the MK3 and MK3S.
