This is my Prusa i3 Rework printed Y frame. I own a steel frame (3mm thk) and my moveable steel part weights 473g. I designed this frame with two main aims: 1) reduce weight to reduce forces and maybe increase print speed 2) install a 4th bearing because I do not like very much asymmetry... Obtained 87 gr on the piece joust before installation . Whith this design it's possible to install 3 or 4 bearing support. I used IGUS bushing for perfect slip without gap. Centerline between the bearing is standard 170mm and drilling for HB is standard too for a MK2 HB. Installation on my prusa took 20 minutes. Of course the part is bigger than standard plates but I split in 4 pieces with a generous joint surface. I glued mine with cyano and Acetone solved ABS as a putty. Pay attention to work on a very flat surface and sand everything with 120 grade sandpaper. I printed mine in blue ABS with 3mm filament.
