I started with the side box and found that the lid did not fit very well and I was always searching for it.

This box, has the lid closed when it is pushed in. The lid opens when the box is pulled 3cm out. The lid clears the bed sheet.

The design is not optimised, but works very nicely as it is. The hinge pin a little loose; one could glue the end so it does not pull out with time.

PRINT INSTRUCTIONS:

No need for support. I used 0.2 SPEED and it worked well. (6-8 hours)

In the files, you will find options 1 and option 2.

Option 1 let you print all the files in one pass on the i3, but the box and frame are tightly packed to make place for the cover.

Option 2 has both file s seperated, so you can select a different color for each part if you want.

Print 2 side bars

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

Start with the box fully inserted in the frame

Attach the side bars to the floating cover, both sides, perpendicular to the cover.

Attch the other end to the frame's pivot pins, again, perpendicular to the frame leg.

Slowly bring the cover into place on the box.

Align the hinge holes and insert the hinge pin.

Test the magic

I am ready to share the model, (solidworks) as long as it is not for making money out of this.
