I found that the standard filament holder for the prusa i3 mark 1 and mark 2 were sub-par as it was very annoying to change rolls of filament and did not fit all of the rolls of filament that I have owned. This will also work for the mk3 as they all share the same frame. I simply improved upon the original design by replacing the knobs used to hold the filament with a pocket, and created a long rod out of a cylinder that was the same dimensions as the knob. This allows for you to place the two arms on your printer permanently, and simply to lift up on the rod to replace the roll(s) of filament. The design also allows you to fit two standard 1kg rolls of filament or 3-4 rolls of .5 kg filament but I am not certain because I do not own any rolls of that size. Hopefully this design saves you some frustration and provides you with easy roll replacement. Also the stl file linked does not have the parts connected as shown in the third picture, they are arranged in a way so that when you have your brim activated, the rod is securely held to the printbed Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 mk2 Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: Low Quality Infill: %50 Notes: You need to use a brim when printing or the rod with not stick to the print bed as it is very tall. Be gentle with the rod when taking it off of the print bed, it is not hard to snap in half when tugging on it, but does not have any issues holding the weight of the roll(s).
