After fighting with several other filament guides I decided to make one for the wood frame version of the Prusa I3. The problem with all the other guides I have seen is that they all cause the filament to slide over a hard point and that causes noise and wear. So enter the pulley guide. I printed mine at 0.2 layer height and 190 Celsius, with PLA. After two weeks with it at 100% scale, I reprinted at 200%. It is much smoother, and holds the filament better at the larger size. Just a tip! Instructions When you go to assemble this: I used a piece of 3mm filament as the pin and then melted the ends to hold it all together. Then just screw it to the very top edge of the wooden frame and place your spool of filament behind the printer.
