I did not like the zip ties being a structural part in my printer so I designed a X-carriage that uses M3 bolts. I printed at .2mm layer height and no supports are required overall for me it was 3 hrs of printing. Uses standard LM8UU bearings and has a bolt in x-belt holder. Print Settings Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 40 Notes: Should be easy to print no complex shapes or anything. Instructions Parts List 8-M3x20mm Socket Head Allen Bolts 2-M3x35mm Socket Head Allen Bolts 8-M3 Nuts Assembly The holes for the nuts are undersized, to put them in *first push a bolt through the hole Then thread the nut on so that the bolt is flush with the face of the nut Now heat the nut for approx. 10 seconds with a lighter Pull the nut against the plastic On a hard non-flammable surface push the nut into the part This creates a captured nut of a sort and makes printing the part not require as tight of tolerances. Or I may have measured wrong, but who will ever know? From that point assy. is straightforward.
