Easily adapt i3 Z axis mounting to your available nuts & frame using this parametric designs. I got an i3 frame to build a printer, unfortunately the holes where drilled too big so intended M3 bolts would not fit, at first I used nuts on the back but they tend to fall of and they don't look that nice, therefore I had to edit original parts to accommodate bigger bolts and although source files for all Prusa's printers are available on github, all values are hard coded making it not so easy to adapt to specific needs, therefore I decided to create a parametric version so non programmers can adjust and create. This design is based on MK3 but it works with any MK2 version as well, the codded values will create original Prusa's parts so you can build from there. To adjust to your needs download scad files and use the sliders on OpenSCAD or go to Customizer links and adjust from there. Included STLs are for use with M4 screws, in case you find it to hard to use Customizer or OpenScad please drop me a line and I will be happy to upload files for your bolt size. Top and bottom parts https://www.printables.com/model/571277-prusa-i3-z-axis-parametric Please be sure to upload your custom parts so others can benefit from it, also upload your makes to inspire others. Keep posted because I will be posting more parametric parts of original i3 series parts.
