Prusa I4 Spool Holder

Prusa I4 Spool Holder

Well, I finally got tired of having my filament trail up and then down my printer and bounce against the back of the Prusa I4 screen, so I decided to go ahead and make a spool holder to solve both issues. The tolerances are kind of tight on the spool pin, but just slide it back and forth a few times should make it easier to detatch. I am kind of guessing that all I4s have the same dimensions, sorry if they don't. Mine uses 20mm rails. It is just the right size to set a couple up on the top of the printer. (just in case someone wants to get a super wide spool :P ) Print Settings Printer: Prusa I4 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: Any is fine Infill: not necessary Notes: What I do recommend is a 3mm skirt on the spool pin, just to make sure it sticks. I printed with 2mm walls, though just to be on the safe side. I just printes one with ABS. (I hate ABS :P) It seems to deform beyond tolerance. PLA seems better in that aspect, so if you can, print PLA.
