The amount of additional space required just because of the original prusa heatbed cover is just insane. By creating this low profile 90 degree angled heatbed connection (and some other space savings) I even managed to get my printer into a IKEA Stuva cabinet. Plus IMO it looks much better. It needs soldering the cables to the bed though.

It's designed to used M3x12 countersunk screws with some hex nuts (which do not come with the Prusa).

If the cables are not of the correct length they can touch the extruder cables. So better test before cutting them. Mine touch slightly during bed leveling but it never caused any problems.

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

Prusa

Printer:

i3 MK3

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Filament: NA PETG

Category: 3D Printer Parts
