Prusa MK3 Anti-Vibration Feet

Loved the idea of the anti-vibration feet, but wanted something that fit under the extrusions without overhang and didn't require disassembly of the base. You'll need to print six of them. I printed in black PETG, but any material should work. The picture is a test print in silver PLA. They make a huge difference in the sound of the printer... it was kind of noisy sitting on the stock feet on my counter top. Now the printer is nearly silent, the fan being the loudest part. I purchased the sorbothane pads from isolateit.com part number 0510117-50U-8. What you want are the one inch hemispheres that are urethane coated, 50 durometer. They come in packs of 8, two more than needed. Sorry no link. I assembled them to the printer with quarter turn t-nuts and M4x12mm cap screws. The quarter turn t-nuts don't require disassembling the printer to install. The t-nuts were from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Thread-European-Aluminium-Profile-Hammer/dp/B07CNJQVV3/ The M4 screws were from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NTMSBN4/ For slicer settings the first 4mm of the feet were printed with solid infill to make a strong base for the feet. During install four of the feet were installed at the corners of the machine, with the last two being installed on the long extrusions closest to the Z upright. The reason for the skew is the Prusa printer is heavier in the rear than the front. Happy quiet printing!
