Camera mount for Prusa MK3 and a Raspberry PI v2 camera.

Camera arm is mounted between the frame and the hotbed/build plate.
I have built this using ABS for the arm near the build plate forheat tolerance (no supports),
PLA for the camera front/holder for precision with supports,
and prusa orange PETG for the camera rear (no supports).

To mount the arm, lift the magnetic build plate, remove the screw and the distancer, put in the arm halfway and push in the distancer again and then push in the distancer with the arm and watch from above when it's in the right position, put in the screw again.

Customizable (at least it works in openscad customizer).

using DotSCAD https://github.com/JustinSDK/dotSCAD (GPL)
and scad-utils https://github.com/OskarLinde/scad-utils (MIT)
...include files inserted in the scad file since Thingiverse needs that.

(dotscad for the extrude path, and scad-utils for the wave function for the camera front glare protection)

Added one picture from the camera view.

My Pi NoIR settings for octoprint:
camera_raspi_options="-x 1640 -y 1232 -fps 25 -quality 95 -ex auto -ISO 800 -vs -ev 15 -mm spot -sa 80 -sh 50 -awb flash"

License for my part is public domain / creative commons but the included libraries are MIT/GPL.

Note: I used a longer camera cable, 48cm. Probably a 30cm would work better. I got mine at m.nu, they also exist on ebay.

Print instructions

Category: 3D Printer Accessories Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: Doesn't Matter

Filament: Prusa ABS/PLA/PET
Notes:

ABS for the arm near the build plate forheat tolerance (no supports needed),
and I used PLA for the camera front/holder arm for precision with supports,
and prusa orange PETG for the camera rear (no supports needed).
