Prusa MK3 Display Patch/Upgrade Knop direction of rotation (Hardware solution)

DEUTSCH: Hallo, heute habe ich am Display des MK3 einen Fehler behoben der mich sehr lange gestört hat, evtl geht es ein paar Leuten da draussen genau so. Ich finde einfach das die Drehrichtung des Menü Buttons falsch herum ist. Hoch gegen den Uhrzeigersinn und runter im Uhrzeigersinn, ist falsch. Dazu müsste der Regler auf der linken Seite vom Display sitzen. Nun wollte ich nicht das Originale Prusa Display verbasteln und habe mir für knapp 7€ eins in eBay bestellt. (272287848790) Wenn euch das egal ist schaut euch die Anleitung unter V2 weiter unten an. Nach meiner ersten Inspizierung des Display, musste ich feststellen das sie sich in ein paar kleinigkeiten unterscheiden. 1. Die kabel Buchsen haben die Öffnung auf der falschen Seite 2. Der Reset Taster ist flacher als der von Prusa 3. Der Drehknopf ist höher als der von Prusa 4. Das Display Poti ist zu groß Die Stecker Buchsen sind aber leicht ohne Löten umzudrehen, man kann sie einfach mit einer kleinen Zange (Prusa Werkzeug) abziehen und andersherum wieder aufstecken, dauert 1 Minute. Natürlich habe ich mir vorher beide Platinen Layouts angesehen und die Bepinnung ist absolut gleich. Dann habe ich es gleich mal getestet am Drucker und es funktioniert wunderbar. Und das Absolute Highlight ist, ich brauche garnichts weiter am Knopf umbasteln, da allein durch tausch dieser Platine der Drehknopf richtig herum funktioniert. Das war leichter als gedacht. Jetzt zu den anderen Problemen, für den kürzere Reset Taster habe ich einen Adapter erstellt der einfach im Prusa Display Cover auf den Knopfteil aufgeklebt werden kann, diesen nutze ich aber nicht da ich froh bin jetzt mehr Spiel in dem Taster zu haben, da ich schon 2-3 mal versehendlich auf Reset gekommen bin. Und der längere Drehregler kann auf zwei arten geändert werden. Entweder man sägt Ihn auf die richtige länge ab, ist nur Alu oder man verwendet einen andere Drehknopf, dazu habe ich ebenfalls mal zwei neue erstellt, einer in Original Optik und einer mit Fingerring in 18mm für meine dünnen Finger ;) Durch die neue Länge ergeben sich aber mehr Möglichkeiten für andere Knöpfe die bei der kurzen Version vielleicht nicht so funktionieren oder fest halten. Deswegen sollte man sich Überlegen ob man ihn wirklich gleich absägt oder erstmal so belässt. Und nun zum Poti Problem, dies kann auch auf mehrere Arten gelöst werden. Entweder man lötet die Potis um, oder man ändert einfach des Halter. Hierzu habe ich auch eine abgeänderte version zum Ausdrucken, oder man sägt einfach das Stück was im weg ist raus. So hab ich es gemacht. V2: Solltet Ihr aber kleine Lust haben extra ein neues zu bestellen und sonstige Umbauten zu machen könnt Ihr auch einfach das Original Display abändern und so die Drehrichtung ändern.Trennt dafür einfach die beiden Leiterbahnen auf der Rückseite der Platine die vom Regler kommen und zu EPX2 gehn, und entfernt den Schutzlack etwas wie auf den Bild mit V2. Lötet dann neue Leitungen auf und kreuzt die beiden bahnen. Das wars schon. The display potentiometer is too big The plug sockets are however easy to turn around without soldering, you can simply pull them off with a small pliers (Prusa tool) and put them on the other side, takes 1 minute. Of course, I have previously considered both board layouts and the weaving is absolutely the same. Then I tested it on the printer and it works perfect. And the absolute highlight is, i need nothing further tinkering with the knob, because only by swapping this board the knob works the right way round. It was easier than expected. Now for the other two problems, for the shorter reset button I have created an adapter that can be glued on the button part in the Prusa Display Cover, but I do not use it because I am glad to have more play in the button now, because I have missed it 2-3 times Reset came. And the longer knob can be changed in two ways. Either you saw him on the right length from, is only aluminum or you use another knob, I have also created two new ones, one in original optics and one with finger ring in 18mm for my thin fingers;) Due to the new length, however, there are more options for other buttons that might not work or hold on the short version. That's why you should think about whether you really saw it off immediately or leave it alone. And now the Poti problem, this can also be solved in several ways. Either you solder the pots around, or just change the holder. For this I also have a modified version to print, or you just saw the piece of what is in the way out. That's how I did it. V2: But if you have a little desire to order a new extra and make other modifications you can also simply change the original display and so change the direction of rotation. Just disconnect the two traces on the back of the board coming from the controller and go to EPX2, and removes the protective varnish something like in the picture with V2.
