Do you prefer or are you required to keep your filament spool next to the print instead of on top? then this is the right model for you!

The previous model I made (https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/44452-prusa-mk3-filament-guide) was found to be insufficient as filaments that are matt or containing fibers, have a rough surface and would over time saw through the PTFE tube I used in the previous model. Now the model has been modified to fit the Steel-U which is part of the PRUSA spare parts kit, which all owners of an MK3 should have.

All you need to make this model is some good filament, 2 3mm nuts and a steel-u which comes as a spare part for the PRUSA MK3.

Print the filament guide, then put the Steel-U through the two holes in the model, screw the two nuts onto the Steel-U, pull the Steel-U in the opposite direction to lock the two nuts in the hexagon holes in the model. Now you simply replace it with the original bracket on the printer which can be done by taking out the two bolts holding it in place, and simply lift it of the axels.

The G-Code I have uploaded is made with 4 perimeters, 6 bottom and top layers and 25% infill.

The model can be made both for the left and the right side, so you can have it in whichever side you desire.

Good Luck and Happy Printing!!! don't forget to upload a picture of your setup!!
