Filament Guide for the Prusa i3 MK3 duel-spool injection molded filament holder
Double-sided version

This is a remix of [JohnOCFII's] https://www.thingiverse.com/JohnOCFII/about excellent Prusa MK3 Filament Guide. (Which is also now at https://www.prusaprinters.org/prints/7075-prusa-mk3-filament-guide)

I use both sides of the spool holder, typically alternating between them when I change filaments. John was gracious enough to share his Fusion 360 design file with me, so this was a very quick modification.

Mine is printed in Hatchbox Orange PLA, but as John said, you could pretty much print this in any material, PLA, PETG, ABS, PC, Nylon or even NinjaFlex--but somehow I don't think a NinjaFlex guide would be too functional!

If you are just starting out--use PLA :-).

Print instructions

Category: 3D Printer Accessories Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.15mm, but probably don't need that

Infill: 30%

Filament: Hatchbox PLA Orange
Notes:

I bumped up the perimeters for this print to 5, not that it really needed them for strength, but I find you get better prints for the loops if there isn't a tiny area of infill. Increasing the perimeters removes that and doesn't really make the print take much longer or use that much more filament.

How I Designed This

Modified a previously existing Fusion360 design, by simply adding a mirror line in the source sketch, selecting the sketch elements to mirror and then adjusting several of the fillets.
