Prusa Mk3 Pen Holder (8mm Rotring)

A little pen holder for a 8mm Rotring pen mounted to the extruder fan. There is a video of Teaching Tech (a popular YT channel) that shows how easy it is with Inkscape to do this. https://youtu.be/CuWZWAfBsm8 https://youtu.be/okOPv19ncHo IMPORTANT !!! Use "G28 W" on the Prusa i3 MK3 for homing to avoid bed levelling and crashing your pen. The holder can remain mounted with pen removed, its high enough not to cause issues while printing. Here my G-Code header and footer for the Inkscape plugin: defaults = { 'header': """ G28 W G90 G0 Z20 G4 S5 M117 Drawing.. """, 'footer': """ M117 Done ! G0 X0 Y200 Z100 M18 """ } My offsets for this pen holder is: X = 43 Y = 40 Z = 12.15 My Laser on and off for the J Tech Photonics plugin are: On: G1 Z12.15 F1200; Off: G1 Z17.15 F1200; I suppose I could reduce the Z height for "Laser off" to get it plotted faster, the Z axis is pretty slow. Another thing I have in mind to try is to make a mounting for a blade of a cutting plotter to make small stickers or thermo transfer foils. More on that once the blades and foil have arrived.
