I've been having issues with my filament sensor not working since I upgraded my MK3 to the MK3S extruder and new sensor. It just never worked but I knew the actual sensor worked, it was something in the mechanism that wasn't quite right. I concluded the FS lever was to blame. It didn't seem to be moving far enough to trigger the IR sensor. So I added about 1mm more to the end of the FS lever. IT NOW WORKS!!!
