*** MK3S MMU2S LCD COVER *** <h1>Update 2:</h1> New pics added and a fully working LCD case is now done. See the pics for info. Available: * MKSS MultiColor LCD Cover with a killer reboot button * 3 optional selector wheels, all models fit * Dust cover for the display (or use it to dim the screen at night) SUPER IMPORTANT: If you want to use this on your printer, please read this first all the way: 1) See Prusa assembly manual how to remove the original cover 2) Use the 4 old screws for the LCD (do not overtighten!) and 2 screws for the (optional) mounting to the frame (optional = risky, read more below) 3) See the pics, very narrow gap between the bed frame and the LCD cover surface 4) Also a narrow gap between the heatbed and any high styled knob you have. TEST THESE GAPS BEFORE YOU START PRINTING AFTER INSTALL !!! (make sure you push the cover clips all the way in the frame, then move the bed all the way by hand and test the clearance before printing. Also check it after the first few prints and regularly afterwards.) 5) option to use 2 screws on the back to secure the LCD cover to the frame. It prevents the cover from lifting up during print vibration. (center the cover to find the holes) You must also understand that the gap might get smaller in time if vibration lifts the LCD cover or selector wheel. So please secure it with screws on the back or your heatbed might crash on the cover someday. (I am not going to, I will just lift it off the frame on long prints, because of vibration noise will be there anyway :) <hr> Original post / story: I needed a new LCD cover for my Prusa Mk3S. The original LCD mount has some issues. Mainly it resonates superloud at times, vibrates way too much and is generally a noisy bastard. And I also need it in another angle for my setup. The plan is to make it attach to / detach from the frame fast and without any tools. So I decided to make Halloween inspired multicolor cover, but keeping it roughly in the same size & style. Concept renders & STL for the selector wheels are ready for now, soon more to follow. It takes a while for me to finish the cover and test print and fix any issues. Will post pics & files when ready with "the punisher" installed. Will print it in Prusa black/orange.
