It has been printed at least once https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10155939497553463&id=750633462&set=pcb.2029394160409136&source=48&refid=13&__tn__=%2B%3D I've taken kystopsz89's extremely clean mesh of the DeathStar and cut it to make covers for an Ikea PS2014 hanging Lamp. I am unfortunately only able to print one of the pieces due to the size limitations of my printers. I do own an original PS2014 Lamp from Ikea and used it as a reference while cutting up the model. These are NOT snap on replacement parts. These ARE glue on covers to fit over the existing panels. The thin parts of the panels are 1mm thick. Please keep track of the panel numbers. There are 40 unique panels to print. The panels are numbered as follows. If looking down from the top of the Deathstar the panels count 1-10 counter clockwise. The letters go from top to bottom (A being the top and D being the bottom). The panels are also named Top and Bottom for slightly easier sorting. I've included the Blender file. Please look through all the Layers. The first Panel of layers contains all the booleans required to slice the model (could be used to make a cover for the PS2014 out of any round model. Maybe the moon next? The second panel of layers contain the individual parts. Print Settings Rafts: Yes Supports: Yes Notes: I suggest using Rafts as the contact area on the bed is minimal. Parts ending in B or C will require support. Parts ending in A and D should not require support. The one part I printed I used 2 perimeters and 0 infill.
