I have been sim racing for a while without the ideal setup. With the camera on the desk it often gets blocked by my hands when racing causing the tracker to lose me. My simple solution was to create a stand for the PS3 Camera and kick it up above the height of my hands on the wheel. This one is of particular use to me but you might find it works for you as well. It raises the camera 70mm and has a very snug fit on the base.
