3D scan of the southern elephant seal, Mirounga leoninae, created by the [Natural History Museum of Vienna](https://www.nhm-wien.ac.at/en) under license [CC Attribution-NonCommercial](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/). This specimen is from the Falkland Islands in the South Atlantic Ocean and became part of the collection of the NHM Vienna in 1901. Very few museums own a specimen this large, even fewer have one that is more than 100-years-old! The original and more information can be found at [sketchfab / NHMWien](https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/southern-elephant-seal-nhmw-zoo1-mamm-18460-bcf3f57e4ade48cc8dd6f6e6f2ecf3f7), the following changes were made: * Geometry decimated from ~ 250k triangles to ~ 65k * downsized to 2% of the original size * object aligned and the bottom side cut flat * STL file repaired / fixed Note: Layer Height 0.1mm recommended so that the teeth come out well. Support required.
