This version of the PS4 Fat hard drive mod uses standard 3.5in desktop hard drives. With this mod, you can expect up support up to 8TB of storage, as well as improved game load time. Note that additional modifications to the console is required. First fully disassemble your PS4, use appropriately gauged wires to solder onto the 12V rail from the PSU. Then, splice this new wire into the yellow wire on the SATA extension cable. Take care in insulating any exposed metal wires. When done, feed the female end of the SATA extension into the PS4's hard drive port, and tuck away any excess cable in the original drive caddy space. Finally, connect the new hard drive, screw it into the printed case, then snap the case onto your PS4.
