Since the internal slot for the hard disk is limited to 9 mm in height, only hard disks with a maximum size of 3 TB can be installed. For larger hard drives, you will need an extension cable to operate the drive outside the PS4. Together with the Delock SATA extension cable any 2.5" SATA hard disk (up to 8 TB) can be operated on the internal connector. The adapter is simply screwed into the mounting frame and the connector is placed in the recess. Now insert the adapter into the PS4 and lead the cable outside through the rear opening. I made the adapter for the DELOCK cable. But other manufacturers seem to use identical cables. The length of the cable should be at least 30 cm.
