I wanted my machine (Ender 3) to be quieter. The fans are some of the loudest parts. This cover redirects the sound from the power unit towards the rear of the machine. It dulls the direct "whoosh" sound. I printed PLA for the cover, and PETG for the clamp. I'm sure PLA for the clamp would be fine. It only clamps very lightly.
