PSU Open-X re-design

thingiverse

This version of open X was re-designed to better hold on the rods. This design eliminates the carriage's tendency to walk up off one of the rods. This design also reduces rattle in the carriage. This was accomplished by changing the angle at which the arm holds the bearings. Instructions If you already have an open X, the only parts that have changed are the arm and the bracket. The new pieces will attach to the carriage you already have. If your REPRAP x-axis is built out of the laser-cut wood pieces from Techzone, then print the Techzone specific carriage. The rods are spaced closer together in this configuration, so the standard carriage will not fit properly. Parts list: Printed Parts: 1 Open X Carriage 1 Open X Arm 2 Open XY Brackets Purchased Parts: 10 1/2" O.D. bearings 14 M4 bolts 14 M4 nuts 26 3/8" O.D. washers (optional)
