This innovative design also serves as a reliable substitute for the sometimes faulty spring found on UM2 machines. The spacer measures 9.6 mm in thickness, surpassing the 9.4 mm metal counterpart used on the UM2+, which compensates for inaccuracies in bed leveling. As a result, when tightened, a small gap between the heat break and block is expected (see image). For optimal results, it's recommended to use materials like ABS or CPE that can withstand higher temperatures than PLA, with 100% infill proving to be the most effective approach.
