PTFE Tubing Connector

PTFE Tubing Connector

A connector to add inline for your filament supply system. Good way to quickly and easily disconnect the tubing to clear a blockage or to switch between filaments in a dry box. Just twist to connect and disconnect. Simple to print with no supports required.

Hopefully the tolerances work with your machine, I included what worked for mine. It is a pretty close fit and may be difficult to connect the first few times but it should loosen up whilst remaining an accurate fit. You will probably need to drill out the hole where the PTFE tubing goes to 4 mm and it might still be quite a tight fit. I haven't done any calibration for my machine so the settings are pretty standard.

// Some people have had issues printing this because the tolerances are so tight. I have uploaded some extra models to make sure that one of them will work. You can print different combinations depending on how they fit togehter. The closest to loosest go as follows:

Male-Female, Male-Female2, Male2-Female2, Male3-Female2.

They should be tight to assemble at first and then it will loosen up over time. Try to use the combination that is as tight as possible as they will wear over time. I printed mine in PLA but it might be a good idea to use a more durable filament.

If there is some interest I might make another version that attaches to a dry box and has a cap.
