Pulley Protection Splint

Pulley Protection Splint

thingiverse

Designed to help assist conservative recovery of a pulley rupture in the finger. A common injury seen in rock climbing. You may need to adjust the sizing depending on your finger size and your current level of swelling. Keep in mind that if you scale the entire STL, it will also come out thicker and the bolt hole size may be off a little. It's quick to print, so experiment. The original fusion 360 file is also included so you can tweak it if you like. Finish off the print with a touch of sanding around the edges. You'll need 2 x 10mm bolts and/or possibly 2x15mm bolts with nuts. A word of warning - do not climb with this on. There is a risk of degloving injury to your finger (where you rip your skin off your entire finger) if it gets caught and you fall. It's only for early stage (first 3 months) recovery and support for daily tasks while it heals. If you really want to do this (which I have done) make sure you tape it nicely so it doesn't catch on any holds and be careful! See the picture for reference. Good luck with your recovery, go easy on it!
