Pulse Sensor for Automotive Diagnostics (27mm piezo)

Pulse Sensor for Automotive Diagnostics (27mm piezo)

I designed this so that others can make a homemade pulse sensor. The commercial version is called “First Look" sensor. The original homemade sensor I'd attribute to Youtuber – Forklift Geek. He inspired many others to make their own pulse sensor using plumbing fittings. I intended on doing just that but I was having trouble sourcing the correct size piezo. I already had a pack of 27 mm piezos and figured I’d just make my own housing. I took it a step further and designed the barb fittings since the brass ones cost ~$4 each. This is threaded for ¼” mip so you can you them if you’d like. I think this design turned out nicely. I hope this will help and inspire people to take an interest in advanced vehicle diagnostics. This design is under no circumstances to be produced and sold for monetary gain. If you are looking for a ready to use kit, be sure to pick one up from Cody’s Auto Diagnostics. Happy printing!
