Pumpkin Hide

Pumpkin Hide

My pumpkin patch tarantula sling outgrew the baby tube at last and it was time for a habitat upgrade! I knew a pumpkin patch spider needed a pumpkin hide as the showpiece of their decor. DLPlanes' pumpkin model was perfect! I just hollowed it out and put an opening for the little guy to enter. There was a problem in the middle of the print so I just chopped the top half of the file off and printed it separately, then glued it on after the fact, which just makes it look a bit like a Jack-O-Lantern so that was fine. It could also have been cool to design it like that in the first place with a lid that snaps into place so it could be opened for cleaning, but honestly it'll be easy as heck to clean it if it needs cleaning by wiping it out with a cotton swab so I'm not that fussed. Carver did not appreciate being bothered in his tube and kicked hairs at me because I am a horrible terrifying giant prodding at him, but he'll get over it when he absorbs the fact that this domain is all for him!
