PVC Clamp

PVC Clamp

Ok, this is just a little clamp designed to use a 1/4 thick slice of 1 1/2" Sc40 PVC as the Spring and jaws. I know what your thinking. (OK, I presume to know what your thinking. Let's not get into a big philosophical debate about esp and psychic powers Barry). Anyway, I assume you're thinking "why would I bother with this clamp when better clamps can be had at harbor freight for a quarter?? Well.. . . First you have a 3-D printer and you are constantly looking for things to print. Just last week you printed that little boat like three times - Barry. Second, This was specifically made to work in an environment where there will be a lot of magnetic fields where clamps with a metal spring are undesirable. Now, that being said, you could certainly scale it up or down to work with different sized PVC. And, if you ran a bungee between the forward two holes it would work like one of those edge banding clamps that Rockler is so proud of. Anyway - thanks for looking.
