PVC Pipe Pivot/Swivel Joint

PVC Pipe Pivot/Swivel Joint

I wanted to make a set of cosplay wings using 1/2" PVC piping (Schedule 40), not the super thin stuff (that's Schedule 20). I could not find a suitable and cheap swivel that allows pvc piping to pivot nicely at specific joints so the wings can be spread open or fully folded down. So I created my own. Basically, you put some glue on the bottom part (PVC glue should work fine) and stick it in the hole. The bottom part is slotted to allow it to flex a bit when being pushed in (irregularities when printing at lower settings). This is a set of two swivels. A Center and a side, this can allow up to 3 swivels being bolted together and the PVC still be pretty well center-lined with each other. For larger PVC piping, scale up accordingly in the slicer program you use. Just note the hole for bolting will increase as well. I may make specific ones for other sizes in the future. You can use a metal or nylon washer in the middle (between where they touch). Enjoy.
