PVC VR stock for Oculus Quest/Rift

This is an adjustable, collapsible, folding VR stock for Oculus Touch controllers using cheap and ubiquitous 3/4" schedule 40 PVC as a backbone. It allows adjustable grip angles and distances as well as a buffer tube adapter that allows you to use mil-spec AR-15 collapsible stocks. All you need is approximately 30 inches of 3/4" PVC pipe, 2 90 degree 3/4" PVC elbows, 4 20mm M3 screws, 4 M3 nuts, and some super glue. If you want the length of pull to be adjustable, you'll need a mil-spec AR15 collapsible stock. I suppose you could also accomplish this with different length PVC pipes and the included non adjustable stock. You could also achieve different comb heights with more PVC. Cut one 5.5 inch piece of PVC for the riser portion, this will approximate the height of a real AR-15 stock. Cut one 6.75 inch piece and slide the buffer tube print over this until it's flush at the flat end in the back. The angled portion goes towards the muzzle of the rifle You can play with these lengths if you want, this is what mine are. The AR-15 in the background gives you an idea of how my game setup compares to the real thing. Print 2 sets of stock_angle_adjust.stl Only print the minimalist stock if you don't have an AR-15 stock to use. Only print the butt plate if the smooth surface of the minimalist stock is too slick for you. Super glue it in place. The rectangular hole in the grips and the top of the rectangular peg that goes into them might need some sanding/filing to remove elephants foot depending on how your print turns out. You can get a pretty good friction fit, but I recommend super gluing them in place once you get them mated pretty well. When you decide which grip angles you want, you'll probably want to super glue that in place as well, even if you feel like the screws are tight enough. It will come loose if you don't. Don't glue your controllers to the grips. The wrist straps need to be removed from the controllers to use this stock as the controllers are friction fit into the grips. Take the battery covers off and just lift the straps out. How far you press the controllers into the grips determines how tightly they are held. I usually leave my non dominant hand fairly loose and my dominant hand tight in the grip. A one point sling can be attached to the riser portion of PVC and feel pretty good. I'll add a mount later. I'm experimenting with a magnetic attachment system, but I don't like anything I've tried yet. The grips are modified Magpul MOE grips from Fosscad and the buffer tube is modified from Fosscad as well. The included non adjustable minimalist stock is straight from Fosscad.
