Pygmy goat skull
myminifactory
This pygmy goat skull was loaned to the Virtual Curation Laboratory by Virginia Commonwealth University alumnae Lucy Treado to contribute to our digital zooarchaeological collection. According to Lucy, “The goat skull was a gift from my friend Douglas Stanfill, where Coco the goat lived at his family’s farmstead. Her sire and dame were both kiko fainter crosses. She got the recessive fainting gene. This probably led to her demise, killed by unknown creatures… but… probably coyotes.”
