QHY 5-ii holder for DSLR hot shoe mounting

thingiverse

A mount for a QHY 5-ii guide camera to fit into the flash 'Hot-shoe' of a DSLR. UPDATE 06/012/22 I've uploaded a new version (V2_with adjuster), which includes bolts to allow the finder to be aligned with the primary scope/camera. I found V1 to be fine for just autoguiding, but for use as an electronic finderscope, I needed to center lenses. I used 3x M3x12mm bolts for the alignment adjustment, as well as an 3mm machine screw to clamp the camera in place. I designed this as part of an ultra-portable astrophotography rig I have been working on over the past several years. The QHY 5-ii is fitted with a 25mm CCTV lens, but it should also work with mini guidescopes like the one supplied by QHY. It was printed at 0.3mm layer height and fits my Canon 550D and Nikon D3100 DSLRS. However, please be aware it's a (deliberate) tight fit, so YMMV - Printing at finer layer height may improve the fit. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who tries this design out on any dimensional tweaks they needed to get it to fit their camera.
