UPDATED 27-AUG-2017. After playing around with the end screw a bit I discovered that no matter what material I used (ABS or Nylon), the stress on the part is just too much for it and it eventually breaks. So, I decided to re-use the threaded hex rod portion from the original Qidi Tech 1 spools instead. If you feel brave and want to use all 3D printed parts, just use the parts "End Screw" and "Mounting Screw". If you want to go for max strength instead by reusing the rod, print "Adapter" instead of "End Screw". ------------------------- UPDATED 26-AUG-2017. After getting the bearings in for the spool I discovered I had to fine tune not only the mounting screw but also the end cap screw. The mounting screw now has a hex key hole through it to ease installation as well as a built-in washer-spacer. The end screw from the original has been modified to not only include a hex key hole as well but also with the built-in washer too. ------------------------- The Perfect Qidi/Flashforge Spool Holder (www.thingiverse.com/thing:1795763) really is a great replacement for the lousy stock spool holders on the QIDI TECH 1, but for my printer there was no way to mount the spools. I reworked the double-ended screw (the one that's closest to the printer) so one side is smaller and is now able to screw into the printer just like the stock holders. There is a "catch" with this part though. Although I ordered bearings I haven't received them yet, so I haven't been able to test it fully assembled when using bearings. As it is you actually can use the spool holder without bearings though, and with this part it fits the QT1 perfectly. If you decide to make the spools and this part and not use bearings, you only have to print out this part (obviously), and everything from the other download except the washers, the washer/nut, and the large nut piece. When I eventually get the bearings in I'll check and see what modifications I need to do to this part to make it all work and I'll publish a new adapter piece.
