This jig will allow you to align the dual extruders on a qidi Tech I. I made a few changes after the initial print which I used which have not been tested (cut sides to clear interference on fan bracket, .5mm enlarged opening for threads on screws) tools needed to level extruders: 2x included Allen wrenches 3 small zip ties flat bar for alligning the two extruders to be parallel steps I followed (going on memory, leave a comment if I missed something): print jig :) remove and disconnect power let cool remove top acrylic shield if you have it in place place a small zip tie around the left extruder stepper motor wiring so later on you know which one is the left place a small zip tie around the left fan motor wiring so later on you know which one is the left cut the zip tie holding the center wire bundle in place if you have the side mounted fan: --- disconnect the fan motor plug from the harness --- remove the small screw that holds the lower part of the fan (nozzle) --- remove the two screws holding the side mounted fan in place --- remove fan and nozzle remove the tubing from both extruders and cut the filament near the top of the extruder the filament holds the extruder in place after you remove the fans later on remove the two screws facing up that hold the extruder assembly in place extruder assembly should lift up using the same screws that were holding the extruder assembly in place attach the leveling jig to protect the ends of the extruder disconnect the cable from both extruders remove the two screws at the bottom of the fan and head sink - note that each screw has a spacer - don't drop it into the bottom of the printer. set the fan screws, spacers, heat sink, fan shield to the side remove the two screws at the top which hold the black plastic piece in place, remove the black plastic piece at the top by pressing the filament release you can now remove the extruder motors and set them to the side on the back of the aluminum bar there is a small set screw holding the hot end in place, loses both sides (don't remove push the hot ends to the face of the jig, put the straight edge against the side of the extruders to line them up, and tighten the set screws. re-assemble :) Print Settings Printer: Qidi Tech I Rafts: No Supports: No Infill: 50% Notes: I used a higher infill, though I'm not sure it is needed. make sure to level the plate and use the extruder closest to the plate to print the jig.
