Qidi Tech Shadow 5.5S is a solid printer. I'm happy with her so far. But AC filters were inefficient. The printer was also very noisy. This printer does not smell ==================== The supplied filters with activated carbon bags are ridiculous. So I decided to design my own solution. I designed filters with a much larger area. The air flows better here. I chose activated carbon foam as the filter medium. I replaced the noisy 30mm fan with a silent 40mm fan. I made an adapter to change the size. This printer is noisy =============== I replaced the 30mm air filter fan with a quiet 40mm fan. The noisiest was the lower fan under the LED cooler. I replaced it with a quiet 92mm fan. I also connected an automatic speed controller to this. At 25 degrees Celsius, it rotates at 30 percent speed. It reaches maximum speed at 45 degrees. I attached the heat sensor to the LED heatsink. I recommend buying a speed controller ready. I used a fan with PWM control. The new fan is much larger than the original. I cut a hole in the bottom of the base. You can use a hole saw for this or rotary tool like Dremel with slitting saw attachment.
