I designed this film adapter to be used with a QPIX Digital filmscanner. The film type should be set to a 110 film type to get the best results. The dimensions of this adapter are almost the same for all brands of this scanner type. Put the adapter in the base holder for 35mm slides. Use a small piece of doublesided contastruction tape. Just a small tape to fix the position of the adapter, this way it is possible to remove it again and not to harm the base device holder. By using this film adapter, you can scan a 16mm pretty fast by moving it frame by frame. The JPG's created can be processed later with free programs like AVIDEMUX, XnviewMP, XnConvert. It works very well for me and is a cheap method of 16mm film convertion. AVIDEMUX allows to convert those jpg's into a video at the needed/wanted frame rate. Update: Cover added to keep the 16mm film flat neer the scan hole. Best is to glue it with special PLA glue (I used PrintaGlue). Glue the cover's (2 needed) neer the scan hole (1cm in front and 1cm behind the scan hole). Adding a soft cushion to the inside of the holder, keeps the film even better in place while scanning.
