QU-BD Revolution XL - Replacement Nanolink Anchor

QU-BD Revolution XL - Replacement Nanolink Anchor

This simple print replaces the first nanolink that connects the extruder cabling to the print head. The stock arrangement uses just a standard-sized nanolink, drilled out to accept the fixing bolt, and it leaves very little room for the cables to exit the wire management, putting strain on the cables, and making it very hard to rearrange the cables. This replacement piece is 3mm longer, and also moves the structural support around the bolt itself, so that there is nearly three times as much space for the wires to exit. I have uploaded this is STL, STEP and SpaceClaim formats. Instructions I printed this in PLA using 0.09mm layers, on an Ultimaker. The link is printed as two identical parts that snap together, so that the horizontal arms can both be printed flat on the bed. Depending on the tolerances of your printer, you might need to drill out the two holes for the next link to snap into - a 4mm drill works perfectly, and should give a really positive snap fit. Given that it's such a small part, I recommend printing at least four of these half-pieces all at the same time, layer-for-layer, so that the plastic has sufficient time to cool.
