Quad-Blade Noise Maker

Quad-Blade Noise Maker

For the Make it Loud competition I created the Quad-Blade Noise Maker. This is a new take on the classic noise maker that many use during New Year's. Just like the classic, this noise maker creates sound by having a gear push a "blade" that then snaps back, making the iconic click sound that the noise makers create. What makes this model unique is the fact that it has four blades. This creates four clicks rather than the usual one when you spin the gear, thus making it louder. Also the handle is a bit unique as it is a modular design. This allows the user to make the handle as long or as short as they want. To create the Quad-Blade Noise Maker, print out one of every part except for the small handle and two of the joint pieces. There is no need to print out the assembly but it is a helpful guide when putting the pieces together. For those that want a smaller crank that is only one piece rather than the modular design just print out the Small Handle, Crank Stopper, Main Case, and the Cog Final. The Assembly is the same as seen in the above assembly. Happy Noise Making! Print Settings Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer: MakerBot Replicator 2 Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes
