I had a 2ft 6mm metal spike. I cut a thread at one end, screwed straight into the stl. It suits a quad with a bottom mounted 4s 1500mah lipo with front to back 20mm battery strap. Angle is 10 degrees, but really depends on what angle you jab your stake into the ground.
