Quad Walkers - Roller Skate Covers

Covers you can pop on over your rollerskates so you can transition from skating to walking and back in seconds! Adjustable- they slide to adjust for wheel base length, and I’ve created several size adjusters that you can pop in and out for different sized wheels. Replaceable treads. If possible, I highly recommend printing the treads with TPU- they’ll be much better at gripping and won’t wear down quickly. However, you can print them with PLA if that’s all you have (there is a different .stl for the PLA version- the only difference is that I gave the dovetails a slightly bigger size tolerance). The PLA treads will of course wear down faster on hard/rough surfaces like blacktop, but since they’re a separate piece, you can just print new ones! The treads just slide into place. The wheel size adjusters simply insert into the wheel wells. The wheel well size is important! If the wheel well is too loose for your wheels, they will move around too much when you try to walk and could be treacherous. The wheel well without any size adjustment fits 67mm wheels, and there are adjusters for sizes down to 53 in 2mm increments. I originally designed these for my own skates of course, and I use Radar Energy 57mm wheels. Since I know so many others do too, I also included the model without adjustable wheel wells- the wheel wells are sized for 57mm wheels and cannot be adjusted. So if you only use one set of wheels and they’re 57s, you can print that version instead. There is a different tread model for that version. Recommended print settings: -Main Assembly: Standard PLA settings, 20% infill, support touching buildplate only -Treads, TPU: Whatever you’ve found for works for your TPU/printer, but I use 225C end, 50C bed, 30mm/s print speed. 20% infill, no support (print it standing on its side like shown in the render) -Treads, PLA: Standard PLA print settings, 20% infill, no support -Wheel size adjusters: Standard PLA settings, 10% infill, no support No glue or tools needed! The only thing you’ll need other than your printing materials is some elastic. I use sewing elastic, but you can use whatever works for you. The elastic tethers them together and hold them in place on your skates. It also makes for easy carrying when you’re not wearing them (see pics). I will be selling these on Etsy, but I only have my singular Ender 3, so production is very slow- I don’t intend to turn a profit on these, I just want everyone who wants them to be able to have them. That said, I’ve put a lot of thought, time, and effort into making these into something others can use, so if you feel like buying me a coffee, I’d appreciate it a lot! https://ko-fi.com/quadwalkers
