QUADLOCK BIKE MOUNT

QUADLOCK BIKE MOUNT

I tried the available mounts, the one with the PLA spring is very impressive, there are some remixed ones that didn't print for me, so I re-drew it. This one however uses 5.5 mm diameter springs, pretty much anything with that diameter or less will do, maybe 0.5 mm wire thickness, about 12-15mm long - springs that are commonly available for a few £ on EBay. For me, this design is perfect, a nice solid snapping closure and unhitch. Go find a second hand quad lock case for £10, buy some springs and crack on with this, saving yourself heaps. Intending to use tie wraps onto top stem / bars. It has to be said I am just printing the design (I used ASA) and I have been tweaking a few things, so I don't know if it is absolutely perfect yet, but it will be! I scaled the middle component to 101%, others at 100%. You will also need M4 x 20 mm long socket head screw and a nut. A drop of thread lock, or a nylon nut is ideal to stop it loosening.
