QUBD OneUp Offset Fan Bracket
thingiverse
I was assisting a friend who owns a QUBD OneUp with some assembly problems, so I started experimenting. At one point, I realized I needed a fan bracket that could hold the stock fan, a duct and also provide a convenient place to mount the Open Cable Chain. I had also started using the Accessible/Viewable/Cleanable Extruder which offsets the hotend from the NEMA motor. I was also fascinated by the Fan duct on/off valve and discovered that with some trimming it provided more focused cooling than just hanging the fan out there. The bracket has a cutout for the wires of the extruder motor to be routed out the bottom which gathers nicely with the fan and hotend wiring to be sent through the cable chain. All parts were printed from ABS on a Rostock Max V2. The only problem I have encountered so far is that the ducting hangs pretty low, so clearances with the bed mounting and printer frame itself need to be checked closely.
