I saw CaseStudyno8s really nice lightsaber replica and thought, wouldn't it be nice if that actually worked! I have modified it so a 5mm green LED can be built into the tip. It runs on two LR44 Batteries that are held in place by a small spring and by the Outer Chamber. The outer Chamber is held by a screw in the lower ON-Off Button. To change the batteries release the screw, push the Outer Chamber forward and rotate it by 180°. As I hate printing with support and I don't usually treat or paint my prints, I try to design them so as to print without them. This meant changing the finer details of some of the parts, mainly by adding 45° chamfers to the ones with very strong overhangs. Parts needed: 1x green LED 5mm 1x square push switch (10mmx10mm mounting hole) 1x small spring (about 8mm long, 6mm diameter) 2x LR44 battery 1x small ring cable lug (about 5mm hole diameter) some wire Additional downloads (from the original Model http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1085891): Qui-Gon_Outer_Chamber (or MM_Qui-Gon_Outer_Chamber for supported) Qui-Gon_Pommel Print Settings Printer: Velleman K8200 Rafts: No Supports: No Updates 15.11.15: V2.0 Build: Added 45° chamfer to all overhangs and rotated parts for printing. Emitter positioning is experimental as it will have a massive overhang on the 2nd Layer. 30.11.15: Printed all parts mounted electronics. Made an error when mounting as I glued the pommel before mounting the outer casing! Don't do this, now I have to remove the switch to mount the outer case.
