This is a sub-carriage that rides on the X-Rods below the regular carriage that holds the hot end. The advantage to using this part is that the carriage can be changed out without disturbing the bearings or the x-rods. Print this part out and remove the carriage then reassemble the printer with this carriage mounted on the bearings and x-rods. You will need some long 4mm (20mm) 4mm screws, 4mm nuts, and thumb nuts. When changing the carriage for a different hot end move the Z sensor and the X-switch to the new carriage and then mount it on top of this carriage with the thumb nuts. There are slots for the x-switch and a BLTouch. I have used this arrangement so far for a chimera hot end on a vampire carriage. I came up with this so I could experiment with different hot ends, carriages, probe arrangements, and possibly laser engraving quickly without doing major disassembly. I highly recommend connectors in all of the cables near the carriage if the control board is located in an inconvenient place. The video is of a dial gauge I set up to confirm the bl-touch and get a better idea of where the bed leveling problems I had originated. I was able to turn the rods so that the bow in the rod is parallel to the bed thus nulling out the error in the rods. I have included scad and stl files for the carriage and dial gauge carriage (your milage may vary) and an example carriage in scad that you can use to build your own.
