Quick Connect Nipple

Quick Connect Nipple

Quick Connect Nipple for fast assembly flex tubes. Or for hard to reach places. Where it is not possible to attach a nut from the inner side, as for example with a jerrycan. You push the nipple through a hole. The barbs are pressed inward. Once through the hole bounces out again. You add a rubber ring/gasket to prevent leakage. Nipple is fixed with the nut/knob. When tightening the nut/knod, this pulls the nipple back and lingers behind the bards. But also push the rubber ring into the hole to close the small gaps. The nipple and nut/knob have the so called buttress thread. A good 3D printable thread without supporting material. Because the slope of the thread gradually increases, which the 3Dprinters can bridge without support material. Another advantage of this buttress thread is that they can take very high axial load in one direction. The Quick Connect Nipple is designed for wall/panel thickness up to 3 mm + 0,5mm depending on thickness used rubber seal ring. Hole in the panel must be 12mm diameter. The nut is intentionally not made as part of the nozzle. Or the nozzle provided with a lock nut, to prevent rotating while tightening. In order to prevent turning, you can exercise sufficient force with your fingers. But main reason is the optional re-use of the Quick Connect Nipple. Loosen the nut and push the nozzle inward, as in example it falls into a jerrycan. Holding this container upside down and the nozzles falls out.
