Quick & easy printable linear bearing block for LM8UU linear bearings using a zip tie

thingiverse

A quick and easy printable, super lightweight version of an SCS8UU bearing block that uses a cable tie to hold the linear bearing in place. The distance from the linear shaft to the surface to which the bearing block is attached is the same as with an SCS8UU bearing (11mm to the center of the linear shaft). Due to the same dimensions in the footprint, the linear bearing can be used anywhere an SCS8UU bearing can be used. The cable tie should be tightened firmly with pliers so that there is no play. Due to its design, it should only be used where no too high forces act. For 3D printers, the stability is absolutely sufficient. Four M4 hex nuts and a cable tie of max. 3.5mm width, 1.5mm thickness and min. 90mm length are required.
